A woman, a cat and her jewelry (vintage of course)

Posted by: naomi @ 10:43 pm in clothing & accessories, people

This past weekend, Ryan and I hung out with my friend Sally at her apartment in Gastown. She’s one of the most unique women I’ve ever met and loves all things sparkly, shiny and vintage. Taking photos of her (+ her cat Loki) and some of her stuff just seemed natural for this blog. An avid collector of fun party dresses, you’ll often see Sally walking down the street with one of her many parasols, elbow length gloves and sky high heels.

Check out the Tiffany Blue shoes with the insane embroidery and detailing. I’ve never seen anything like it. I also love the collection of perfume bottles sitting on the mirrored cake stand. Gorgeous!

Sally’s collection of vintage jewelry and accessories is always fun to play with. Most of her pieces are either passed down family heirlooms, picked up at vintage/thrift stores or purchased online. The bracelet/cuff in the middle was designed by a seller on Etsy after she mailed in a few of her own pieces and had them fused together.

And of course, we can’t forget Sally herself. Next week I’ll post up some photos taken of the old converted loft – it’s beautiful.

Thanks Christine! Ryan actually took these gorgeous photos. He uses a Canon 5D and I think these were taken with the 50mm lens.

The shoe picture is my favourite. I think it’s because of the blur effect, and it creates the mood like you are looking at a pair of shoes through a window display store, out on a cold and rainy day.
