This week’s Big Band tune comes from 1931 by American composer/film producer Arthur Schwartz.  The particular recording I have is played by Artie Shaw and his orchestra which earned him one of his eight gold records during the 1930s and 1940s.

Dancing in the dark has been featured in the classic film “The Band Wagon“. It has also been performed by many stars such as Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennete and Diana Krall.
