Here’s Naomi’s bike ready to ride for Spring. It’s not completely fixed the way we want it yet, but so far we’re happy with the way it looks and rides.

CCM bike progress updatePosted by: ryan @ 12:05 am in diy refinishing, moving things |
Many months have passed and I’ve finally put most of the bike back together. One thing I haven’t the chance to do is clean and install the chain guard and fenders. There’s lots of work still yet to be done!

The bike in peicesPosted by: ryan @ 11:49 pm in diy refinishing, moving things |
I finally got a chance to pull the old CCM Rambler apart. After wiping it down, it’s in better shape then I first thought. The first thing that I did was pull the wheels off to see what I could salvage. Continue reading »

New Westminster paddle boat tourPosted by: naomi @ 2:34 pm in events, moving things |
A few weekends ago, we took a tour of the Fraser River on an old paddle boat departing from the Quay in New Westminster. It was a foggy, drizzly day and there was only two other people on the boat aside from us – a father/son birthday event.

1940’s CCM Rambler: My new summer bikePosted by: ryan @ 8:22 pm in moving things, vintage finds |
A few weeks ago I mentioned a bike in my post about vintage theater seats. Well, here is that bike. After tracing the serial number, I discovered that it is a 1941 CCM Rambler and is similar to the one currently on display in the Canadian Science & Technology Museum in Ottawa. It needs some work, but I’m looking forward to getting it rolling this summer.

Vintage Dutch Locomotief city bikePosted by: naomi @ 12:31 am in moving things, vintage finds |
I am so excited to blog about this. On Saturday we went down to Seattle to do some Christmas shopping and look at a bike. I know it’s the winter, but it’s also the best time to buy bikes because people either sell them or store them until next year. After scouring Craigslist for a vintage Dutch bike, Ryan came across this one – it’s a Locomotief from the 1960s and ain’t she a looker!

Spotted: Kinda cool looking JEEPPosted by: naomi @ 7:54 pm in moving things |
Went to the gym and saw this cool looking car in the parking lot. It’s a JEEP. Looks old, but could be new? No idea. I’d totally rock this down the streets of Vancouver.
P.S. I know the photo sucks but it’s taken in low light with my iPhone.
Update: Beatgrrl over on twitter informed me that this is actually an American Motors U.S. Postal delivery car that’s been painted. Thanks!
